Responsibilities
Security AI Model Development: Design, build, and train sophisticated AI/ML models to detect anomalies and threats in user behavior within Google Workspace (e.g., unusual login patterns, data access, file sharing, and API usage).
Intelligent Security Copilot: Build and enhance our AI-powered support agent. This copilot will assist security teams by answering complex questions and guiding them through incident response using natural language.
Model Evaluation: Implement robust evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure the performance of our security models, focusing on threat detection accuracy, precision, recall, and minimizing false positives.
Knowledge Base Development: Develop and optimize our RAG-based knowledge systems that power the Security Copilot, integrating data from security best practices, threat intelligence feeds, and Google Workspace documentation.
Full-Stack Implementation: Build the backend APIs and frontend interfaces (using Next.js/TypeScript) required to surface AI-driven insights, alerts, and agent interactions to our users in a clear and actionable way.
Production Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure our AI models are performing reliably and effectively in production.
Iterate with Purpose: Contribute to a culture of rapid feedback loops, deploying solutions quickly, learning from data, and continuously improving our threat detection capabilities.
Customer-Centric Security: Constantly assess how your engineering decisions directly enhance customer security posture and deliver tangible value.
Job requirements
AI & ML Expertise: Deep experience building and deploying AI/ML models in production. Experience with both generative AI (LLMs) and analytical models (e.g., for anomaly detection, classification) is essential.
Behavioral Analytics: Proven experience in anomaly detection, pattern recognition, or behavioral analytics, ideally working with user activity logs or time-series data.
RAG & Knowledge Systems: Strong experience designing and implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and working with vector databases.
LLM Evaluation: Proven experience implementing evaluation frameworks and metrics for large language models to ensure accuracy and relevance in a specialized domain like cybersecurity.
Developer Skills: Good proficiency in TypeScript and Next.js (or similar modern frameworks) to build end-to-end user experiences around our AI features.
First-Principles Thinker: You approach complex security challenges by understanding the core mechanisms of threats and data, allowing you to innovate beyond simply applying existing frameworks.
Startup Mentality: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are driven to take ownership and make a significant impact.
Passion for Security: You are genuinely passionate about applying AI to solve complex cybersecurity challenges and protect businesses at scale.
Nice to haves
Strong proficiency in Python and/or Golang.
Background in cybersecurity, SaaS security, or Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Familiarity with the Google Workspace Admin SDK and other relevant APIs.
Previous experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding engineer.
